The Bumgarner's barn was built in the late 1800s. It was constructed with hand hewn beams and has the original standing seam roof. The barn was originally used for dairy cattle and hay, and it is currently being used for hay storage, cattle and sheep. Their children and grandchildren have had good times playing basketball in the old hay mow and swinging on the old hay rope.
