The property was purchased at auction to preserve the buildings from destruction. The farm has an early Sears and Roebuck building purchased by local ladies to be used as a school house for farm children. The little school house was removed from a collapsed condition and rebuilt as a utility building on the farm by Ron and son Kevin.
The quilt pattern was selected to go with the family name and a wagon wheel was placed in the center to signify the family passion to preserve history throught the restoration and construction of wood wheel wagons.
