The Parrotts bought their farm in 1966. The all wood barn was built about 1920 and was used for dairy. In 1974, the Parrotts covered the wood with metal siding. They use the barn for general storage.
They designed their own quilt pattern to look like the parrot bird representing their name, spelled PARROTT.
