259 State Route 507, West Liberty
Barn Owners: John and Sandy Detwiler
Quilt Square: "Detwiler Star"
Sponsors: Heritage Cooperative

This barn still has it's original slate roof. It was built in the late 1800's. The Detwiler farm has been family owned since 1932 through four generations. The barn was used for milking dairy from 1940 until 1988. A milking parlor was added in 1960.
The square selected is an Ohio Star variation named the Detwiler Star. It uses only wine and white colors for a dramatic effect.
