Recreation

So many things to see and do: just give yourself the time to enjoy. Traditional roots and a leisurely pace of life are balanced by an equally strong belief in wholesome play. When the work is done, families and friends can sample a veritable palette of recreational wonders. From camping and trout fishing to canoeing, golfing, skiing and swimming, you can refresh and recharge.

Stroll through our beautiful public parks. The largest, the city of Urbana's Melvin Miller Park, features picnic grounds, softball and soccer fields, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, playground equipment, a fishing pond and an outdoor band pavilion which hosts a summer concert series. Recreation commissions also provide organized baseball, softball, soccer and football leagues.

There is something here in Champaign County for people of all ages to enjoy!
