Melvin Miller Park is Urbana’s main park. It boasts a pond, the Wendell Stokes Municipal Pool, 13 ball fields, 13 soccer fields, 8 tennis courts, 2 basketball parks, skate park and several playgrounds. The City operates the pool at 689 Park Lane. The 270,000-gallon main pool has a low diving board and a slide and the 3000-gallon baby pool has a mushroom.

The pool is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day and can be reached at 937-653-6994. The Champaign County Arts Council will again be sponsoring the Concerts in the Park at Melvin Miller Park.
